  • 01Introduction to Simulation: Concepts, nature of simulation, model classification, types of simulation, steps in a simulation study, discrete event simulation, time keeping mechanisms, software, simulation examples
  • 02Statistical models in simulation: random variable, discrete and continuous distributions, queuing systems, Markovian models, generation of random numbers and testing its randomness
  • 03Analysis of input data: Input modeling, sample independence, parameter estimation, goodness of fitness of tests
  • 04Output data analysis: Model building, verification, calibration and validation of models, design of simulation experiment, statistical independence, variance reduction techniques, regression analysis, analysis of variance
